Arizona’s Slot Canyons are on every photographers “must see” list. Carved by wind and water through layers of sandstone, the remnants of ancient ocean floors form what are known as slot canyons, where unexpected beams of light and fanciful whorls of color give us the opportunity to make striking and memorable photographs. We’ll be there at the right time of day, when its walls glow in vibrant purples, reds, oranges and yellows. The Slot stretches through a series of small chambers, large amphitheaters and precipitous drops, where every turn of the canyon offers new and exciting arches and keyhole formations scenes to photograph.

Alaska Grizzly Photo Workshop - Dates for 2012 now in work for the Alaskan coastline photographing the Alaskan coastal brown bear, a variant of the Grizzly. Included but optional Photoshop / Lightroom / Photo evaluations. Included is a separate side-trip to photograph puffins on a near-by island. Room and board, guide, transportation to/from Anchorage and photo instruction all included.
Chimpanzees of Mahale Mountains - 2012 dates now in work for a photo workshop on a far-flung beach and mountain side along the shores of Lake Tanganyika in Tanzania. Here is the world's largest known population of chimpanzees and the famous "M" group of chimps with boisterous Pimu as the alpha male. We will go on daily photo workshop treks to photograph the Chimps and also make optional time for hiking, fishing, boat touring and of course, photography review and discussion of post processing techniques. This is far off the beaten track of tourists and a truly unique and enchanting trip to photograph and witness in the wild the primate perhaps most closely related to ourselves.
